HOME STUDY AND PARENTAL CO-OPERATION

Parents and guardians are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, helping their children or wards prepare their lessons and taking interest in the activities of the school. All efforts made by teachers with regard to student's training can bear fruit, only if parents co-operate. Hence they are requested to visit the school to meet the teachers on days scheduled for the purpose. They can acquaint themselves with attendance, progress and conduct of their children / wards.



PARENTS WILL ENSURE THAT

1. Fees are paid on scheduled dates

2. Children attend school in the prescribed dress and with the required books.

3. Children give enough time at home for lessons and assignments.

4. Parents must fill in the fee columns with the receipt number and date.

❊ Apart from taking interest in the academic work of the school, parents must also encourage their children to take part in co-curricular and extra-mural activities organised for the benefit of the children.

❊ Critical remarks about teacher should carefully be avoided in the presence of the children as this will cause loss of respect for one's teacher and authorities. Parents should discuss such matters with the Principal.

❊ Any complaints or remarks by parents about the staff or school functioning must be brought to the notice of the Principal or Manager, and not to the staff concerned.


❊ Parents are strongly advised not to miss the parent-teacher meetings arranged during the course of the academic year for inquiring about the progress of their children in studies and in the other aspects of school life.

❊ Parents are earnestly requested to sign the progress reports or any similar documents when so requested. Failure to do so may put their children and teachers to great inconvenience. Failure to comply with this rule may result in the pupil beings sent home, which case the school disclaims all responsibility.

❊Parents are hereby informed that daily reports about their ward, if any, from the school about conduct and studies are conveyed through the handbook. Parents are expected to take note of these reports and messages with their counter-signature.



❊ Students who fail to show these remarks and reports and get them counter-signed by their parents are liable to be punishment and sent home.

❊ Parents, guardians or other persons are never allowed to meet the students or teachers during class-hours at the door of classrooms. On emergencies they have to contact the Principal..

❊ Teachers may regularly be contacted on Friday from 2:00 pm to 3.40 pm.On other days they may be seen in their off-periods or recess-time in their staff room, for which an appointment could be arranged in advance by noting in the handbook and requesting through their ward.

❊ Private tuitions are discouraged.Private tuition in emergency cases may be resorted to, only after consulting the class teacher or subject teacher. Parents are advised that the members of the staff of the school should not be engaged as private tuitors for their children without the written permission of the Principal.

❊ Parents and guardians are requested to notify the school office in writing of any change either in their postal address or their telephone numbers.
